Today is a rest day! It’s a 3 b day; beach, beer and a book. I decided to stay another day at this great resort. Here’s some pix:

At the front desk, I met this sweet gal, Correen. When I went to extend my stay by a night, she was very helpful to me. I told her I needed to rest up another day and how my calves were cramping and barking. She said, “you need to take some potassium and magnesium”. I said, “I know I can get potassium from bananas, but do I need to eat a 4th of July sparkler to get the magnesium?” She then began a great narrative about her husband Travis. He and some other fishermen were shipwrecked, floating in the gulf for 22 hours before being rescued. Correen said Travis came home, loaded up on potassium and magnesium and avoided the hospital stay the rest of the fisherman endured! He’s a local hero and here’s his story. Fishermen rescued after 22 hours.

It’s all fun and games feeding the gulls until somebody gets shat on.

  1. Don’t you mean a 4 B day? beach, beer, book and BIRTHDAY! Barry says, ‘make sure you cover them feet with 50spf water babies! Won’t be pedaling with burnt feet’. FYI….For magnesium, you can eat antacids, or green leafy vegetables, such as spinach, or legumes, nuts, seeds, and whole grains. Enjoy your rest day & have a great Birthday!!
