Day 9 — Back on the farm

Miles today: 13.5

Miles total: 316.5

I started out today from the Bluebird Goat Farm towards Tallahassee. After 13.5 miles, a tremendous thunderstorm came up and I was looking for a place to bail off and wait it out, when Maria from the farm went driving by. She turned around and insinuated I was crazy and insisted on taking me either into Tallahassee or back to the farm. I opted for going back to the farm. So, another day of being a lay about for me. In the meantime, 14 cyclists taking an Adventure Cycling group tour from San Diego also stopped at the farm for respite. We’re gonna get a big ol’ bunch of pizza tonight and stuff ourselves. The weather is looking like another day at the farm tomorrow. The roads westward in Pensacola are washed out and some are impassable. Might as well wait it out since I have such a wonderful and welcoming place to stay. Saturday looks like it’ll be sunny and NO rain!
