10 to 20 mph headwinds until late this afternoon made for a chilly ride. On relatively flat country, I could only ride about 6 to 8 mph. It made for a long day. And on top of that, my GPS and I had a disagreement and I rode an extra 10 miles or so. Tomorrow the winds are WSW which is more of a sideways tail wind, so it should be better. Most of today’s ride was on I-10, so not a lot of photo opportunities. I did cross the continental divide! Here’s the map from today and some pictures.
Here’s a friendly dog in the laundromat from yesterday. Her name is Zelda.
Cold this morning. About 45 degrees.
Stopped at this little gift store for lunch, but no luck. All they had was gee dunks.
Saw this car waiting for service.
Looks like they’ve been waiting a long time.
Here’s one of the many border patrol officers I saw along the way. This one was checking the fences for signs of illegal crossings.
This sign was at a rest stop on I-10. I think this is the Yucca plant.

Wow, that must’ve been a really patient man! He definitely wasn’t one of our patients. Haha! Love you!
