Today looked iffy weather-wise, but ended up nice. A little drizzle at first, but it didn’t last for more than an hour. I rode from New Roads to Denham, 54 miles. It was another 30 to get to Hammond, so that can wait until tomorrow. I need to stop at Best Buy there and buy a power supply for my Macbook. I left it behind in New Roads. I’ll get them to ship it home for me and then I’ll have two. Maybe I can sell one on ebay. Here’s the map and photos from today:
Up ahead, the John James Audubon bridge over the Mississippi.
Ol’ man Lee and ol’ man river rolling along.
Heyoka deciding which way to turn onto Highway 61. Ol’ Howard just pointed with his gun and said that way down highway 61. Highway 61 Revisited
An unexpected town along the way. Filled up my water bottles here.
Tomorrow, Hammond and a search for a power supply.

Saw Donnie Martin recently; he said hello
He said earlier he might be in St. Augustine around the time I end up there. Did he happen to say anything about his trip?
No, but I’ll send him a note
