A new state! Hello, Mississippi. 50.6 miles on an easy day. Plenty of sunshine and little wind. I won’t be in Mississippi long, next stop is Bayou La Batre, Alabama. I had the best seafood of the trip today. Fresh caught Tuna bites for lunch at Shaggy’s in Pass Christian Harbor. Delicious. I had a good meal tonight as well. At the Shrimp Basket I had blackened snapper. I can also cross off coughing a piece of hush puppy out of my nose from my bucket list. Here’s the map and pictures from today:
More mossy trees Wetlands and swamps and rivers, oh my
Heyoka wanted to take the Byway to Space, but it’s too hard to get traction in the weightless environment.

Rocket testing buffer zone. I guess it’s like the signs on the back of dump trucks that tell you they’re not responsible for damage when rocks fly out.
Lots of bridges to cross.
This bridge had the nicest bicycle lane I’ve ever ridden.
Tomorrow, Bayou La Batre, Alabama.
